What is the role all about?
As the LGV Driver, you will be trained to operate a variety of Class 2 vehicles, focusing on various waste streams from commercial premises across Wiltshire. You will use vehicles such as rear-end loaders, roll-on roll-off, hook-lift, and box trucks to collect different types of waste from bin tipping to skip collecting.
What you will be doing:
- Operate a variety of Class 2 vehicles to collect commercial waste streams across Wiltshire.
- Carry out daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks, notifying the transport office of any defects.
- Drive safely with due regard for other road users and work within Road Traffic legislation and regulations.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
- A Class 2 LGV/HGV lorry licence holder.
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualified.
Desirable:
- Previous Class 2 vehicle driving experience – in any industry.
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly attitude.
- Experience working out and about in all weathers.
