To strategically strengthen the Board to better support the Chief Executive Officer and enhance the Chamber’s ability to deliver against its mission of driving growth, connectivity, support, and community impact across the borough. This expansion will ensure the Board reflects a diverse, skilled, and forward-thinking leadership group, aligned to the evolving needs of our members, partners, and wider economy.

- Strengthen CEO Support: Provide strategic guidance, challenge, and mentorship to accelerate delivery and impact
- Enhance Expertise: Introduce specialist knowledge to support key priority areas and decision-making

Priority Sector Representation
We are actively seeking Board-level expertise across the following key areas:
- Legal: Governance, compliance, risk mitigation, contract reviews
- HR / Employment Law: Workforce strategy, talent pipelines, EDI
- Marketing & Brand: Strategic positioning, visibility, and growth
- Sustainability / ESG: Supporting with net-zero and responsible growth
- Tendering & Bidding: Expertise in public and private sector procurement, bid writing, and contract acquisition
- Policy & Public Affairs: Influence, advocacy, and alignment with local/regional priorities
- Charity Sector: Experience working with charities, CICs &/or social enterprise organisations.

- Senior Leadership Experience: Operating at Director / C-Suite level
