Hillier Tree Nursery, a prestigious family business with over 150 years of history in the horticulture industry, is looking for a dedicated Horticultural Production Operative to join our team in Broadmead, Ampfield, Hampshire. The role will involve all duties concerned in the production and delivery of specimen trees. We are looking for an individual who is an excellent team player with solid organisational and communication skills. They will demonstrate a willingness to learn and have an excellent work ethic. The candidate will be highly self-motivated with the ability to demonstrate reliability, initiative and flexibility, as well as being comfortable and capable of working as part of a team.
The role involves working outside in inclement weather conditions, so the love of the outdoors is essential (PPE for outdoor working will be provided). Whilst previous experience of working in a similar role would be beneficial, full training would be provided for the right candidate. The candidate must also be comfortable with the physical nature of the role, which involves tasks such as manual handling, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
This role is being offered on a full time, 6 month fixed term basis of 39 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
