About the Service

Dryden Street is a homeless service that provides housing support to people who are experiencing homelessness who have multiple and complex needs. This includes mental health, ambivalence, addiction, offending and behaviours that challenge us, violence and aggression.

About the Role

  • Providing direct and group support to individuals as agreed in individual Personal Outcome Plans as per service requirements.
  • Undertaking keyworker responsibilities with, and on behalf of individuals.
  • Be an effective team member.
  • Take lead responsibility for a defined area of practice in the service, as negotiated and agreed with the line manager.
  • Undertaking tasks appropriate to the service as detailed in the service descriptor.
  • Participate in shift patterns, as required by the service, which may include lone working, festive working and on-call duties.

About You

  • Have a positive, flexible attitude, with an encouraging nature.
  • Have excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
  • Be highly organised with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Have the ability to react efficiently and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Be open to attending and maintaining ongoing training needs.
  • Possess a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 2 in Health and Social Care or have the ability to work towards this qualification.
  • Be flexible with shifts patterns including weekend work, evenings, sleepovers and waking nights.

All successful candidates will be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post.
