Hillcrest Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague for the role of Level 1 SEND Teaching Assistant. This role is of great importance to our Academy. The successful candidate will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with or caring for children of the relevant age.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • The ability to attend to the student's personal needs and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
  • Ability to support pupils' needs and assess this effectively.
