In this role, you will ensure goods are received, stored, cut, picked, packed, and despatched efficiently and with exceptional attention to detail and quality. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and takes pride in working professionally and accurately. As Wholesale Operative, here’s an idea of what you will be doing:
- Planning and preparing the warehouse area for incoming deliveries
- To accurately receive, inspect, and book in goods against purchase orders
- Process and cut stock to order using internal systems
- Pick, pack, and despatch customer orders efficiently and correctly
- Replenish stock in areas to maintain availability
- Maintain stock accuracy and assist in regular stock takes
- Promote and follow Health & Safety procedures across the site
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation
- Support cross-functional teams when required and adapt to changing business needs
- Provide a professional and consistent approach to internal and external contacts
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar warehouse, distribution, or production role (training available)
- Forklift license/experience is desirable - training can be provided
- Knowledge of SAP is advantageous
- Basic MS Word and Excel skills desirable
- Understanding of Health & Safety best practices
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving ability
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, accurate approach
- Flexible approach to working shifts and tasks
