This role is key to delivering high quality practical and virtual training to a diverse audience of self‑employed and employed individuals across the Hillarys and wider HD Group networks.
About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Training Team as a Training Officer, based at The Academy at our Glaisdale site in Nottingham. This role is key to delivering high quality practical and virtual training to a diverse audience of self‑employed and employed individuals across the Hillarys and wider HD Group networks.
You will play a vital role in the development of our Advisor network, ensuring best practice in sales, installation, product knowledge, processes and technology. This is a hands‑on, people‑focused role suited to a confident communicator who enjoys influencing, coaching and supporting others to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality practical and virtual training to the Hillarys Advisor network and wider HD Trade teams
- Support a busy training calendar as part of a team of six Training Officers
- Deliver training at The Academy and through in-field training sessions
- Introduce and embed Hillarys best practices and behaviours, ensuring standards are consistently understood and met
- Deliver training in line with agreed training plans, business standards and compliance requirements
- Prepare and maintain training materials to the highest presentation standards, ensuring all content is kept up to date with product and process changes
- Provide training support to Contact Centre teams and other areas of the business as required
- Complete quarterly personal development planning to ensure skills and knowledge remain current and effective
What We Are Looking For
- An excellent communicator with the ability to influence, coach and build trusting relationships
- Strong knowledge of Hillarys products, promotions, pricing, processes and technology
- Confident, enthusiastic and approachable, with a calm and professional presence
- A structured, logical and methodical approach to training delivery
- Persistence and ownership to see tasks through to completion
- A leadership and coaching style that creates goodwill and confidence in learners
Education, Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of Android technology
- Ideally a training qualification or proven experience delivering training
- Working knowledge of: Child safety, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), GDPR, Consumer Rights, Health & Safety legislation
- A valid UK driving licence
