About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Email Marketing Executive to lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of our email marketing activity. In this role, you will manage CRM platforms, develop segmented and personalised campaigns, and create automation journeys that enhance customer engagement and drive business growth. Working closely with marketing, sales, content, and IT teams, you will ensure all customer communications align with brand, business objectives, and wider marketing initiatives. This role is central to delivering impactful newsletters, promotional campaigns, and automated customer journeys that strengthen customer relationships and improve conversion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all direct-to-customer communications in the UK and IE, with some support to the EMEA.
- Plan, build, and execute regular newsletters, promotional emails, and automated lifecycle journeys.
- Ensure all email activity aligns with business goals and current marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and IT to ensure clear communication and campaign alignment.
- Develop segmented and personalised content with support from designers, content creators, and developers.
- Work closely with Campaign Managers to maintain brand consistency and message accuracy.
- Support the management of CRM provider relationships.
- Create emails with content tailored for targeted customer groups.
- Implement strategies that maximise deliverability and optimise inbox placement.
- Manage customer data and segmentation within the CRM to improve campaign performance.
- Execute both automated and ad hoc campaigns within the CRM platform.
- Measure performance using key metrics such as open rate, click-through rate, and conversions.
- Refine customer journeys using performance insights and feedback to improve effectiveness.
- Monitor and maintain data hygiene, quality, and compliance (including GDPR).
- Stay up to date with email and CRM best practices to continually improve engagement and conversion.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all campaign creation and review processes.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field — or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- 3 years' experience in marketing, with a strong focus on email or CRM-based roles.
- Certifications in email marketing, CRM platforms, or digital marketing (advantageous).
- Proven experience designing and delivering successful email campaigns.
- Strong working knowledge of CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Mailchimp, or Bloomreach.
- Skilled in segmentation, personalisation, and automation strategies.
- Understanding of email deliverability principles and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Strong analytical abilities to track and interpret performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively across teams.
- Knowledge of HTML (desirable, not essential).
- High attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
