We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Record to Report (RTR) Manager to oversee the RTR function for a group of five UK entities. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain SOX compliance, and manage tax-related obligations. You will have a unique opportunity to blend technical expertise with leadership and process improvement, working closely with our Global Business Services (GBS) team to drive efficiency across the full RTR cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial submissions are accurate.
  • Review and approve journals and reconciliations prepared by GBS, ensuring compliance with accounting policy.
  • Take ownership of RTR deliverables and submit consolidated results into the Group consolidation system (EPM).
  • Act as SOX control owner for assigned RTR controls and ensure all documentation is maintained, walkthroughs supported, and deficiencies addressed.
  • Work with GBS to ensure timely and accurate completion of SOX relevant tasks.
  • Lead the implementation of new controls as necessary.
  • Manage audit preparation (internal, external, SOX) and liaise with auditors and GBS.
  • Oversee the VAT process for all UK entities and handle VAT related queries.
  • Manage tax processes including PSA, CIS, and EIS reporting.
  • Support UK corporation tax process, including quarterly reporting and annual calculations.
  • Own the end-to-end Capex process, including budgeting, forecasting, request management, and reporting.
  • Lead a team of 4 Finance Assistants and 2 Senior Finance Analysts.
  • Ensure efficient task delivery, prioritisation, and capacity planning across the team and GBS.
  • Promote cross training and team development to reduce key person risks.
  • Lead initiatives to improve the RTR process and drive efficiency.
  • Collaborate with GBS to streamline operations and enhance clarity, control, and consistency.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP and internal control frameworks (SOX experience preferred)
  • Proven experience with month end close, balance sheet ownership, and financial reporting
  • VAT and tax knowledge, with experience in corporation tax a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop junior team members
  • Comfortable working with offshore teams (e.g., GBS in India)
  • Experience with systems such as SAP or similar
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance detail and broader business needs
