This is a pivotal leadership role with full responsibility for product availability, right‑sized inventory, operational performance, and distribution excellence for a high‑growth, multi‑site business. Reporting into senior leadership, you will shape the strategy for UK logistics and supply planning, lead a team of 75+ across planning and warehousing, and drive transformation across our network, all within a complex, SAP‑enabled environment. If you’re an experienced logistics and planning leader who thrives in analytical, high‑accountability environments and enjoys driving change at pace, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- End‑to‑End Logistics Leadership: Own logistics operations across all UK sites: warehousing, inventory management, distribution, and transportation. Oversee a 75+ person team spanning planning (internal & external goods), warehouse operations, and transport.
- MRP Strategy & Excellence: Design, implement, and monitor MRP processes, policies, routines, and controls. Standardise and optimise the SAP MRP module, ensuring effective master data and planning parameters.
- Service, Inventory & Performance: Manage $50M+ inventory across the UK network. Ensure finished goods availability for customers and materials availability for production. Deliver key KPIs including gross margin %, OTIF %, and stock availability.
- Network & Site Transformation: Lead the transformation of logistics operations at our Washington site. Optimise the UK supply chain network to improve efficiency and reduce cost. Drive long‑term planning and capability‑building across warehousing, distribution, and transport.
- SOP & Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Enhance and standardise the SOP process in partnership with commercial teams. Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Finance to deliver an integrated supply chain.
- Leadership & People Development: Lead Logistics Managers, Warehouse Managers, and MRP Specialists through strong coaching and performance management. Build capability, develop talent, and foster a high‑performance culture across the broader UK team.
- Innovation & Risk Management: Drive digitalisation, automation, and data‑driven decision‑making. Develop contingency and business continuity plans across logistics and planning.
About You
- 10-15 years of experience in planning, logistics, and operational management in the UK.
- Strong SAP experience (MRP and/or Sales & Distribution).
- Degree or Masters in a business‑related discipline.
- Proven leadership of multi‑site logistics and planning operations.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and problem‑solving capability.
- Comfortable being hands‑on as well as strategic.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and exposure to senior leadership.
Why Join Us?
