Are you an effective communicator who can work from your own initiative and foster collaborative working relationships? An opportunity has arisen for a Despatch Operative to join our Despatch team at our Colwick site.

Please note, this is a permanent, dayshift position.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the sortation and onward movement of products by date, and the loading and unloading of the inter‑site vehicle. Attention to detail and understanding of the product is really important – the products need handling with care to avoid damage. This is a physical job, so if you like being active during your working day, then this is the place to be!

We work as part of a close team, we believe that teamwork is key to getting the job done and loving what you do.

We distribute on behalf of the businesses that sit under the Hunter Douglas Group UK umbrella.

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar environment is desirable.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Strong communication skills - you will be required to communicate effectively with your colleagues and department leader.
  • Basic IT knowledge.
  • The ability to work from your own initiative.
  • The ability to demonstrate full ownership of tasks and errors.
