Overall Purpose
The Learning Management Systems (LMS) Administrator is a pivotal role within the Hill Robinson Academy, responsible for the strategic management and optimisation of our learning platform, with a primary focus on Cornerstone OnDemand. This role supports both internal training and the delivery of Academy Online as a commercial product to external clients, making it central to a key business stream. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Academy and stakeholders across the business to ensure the LMS delivers a seamless, engaging, and high-quality learning experience. Key responsibilities include managing client communications via the Academy inbox, responding to queries professionally and promptly, maintaining accurate records for crew and staff, and creating polished monthly and quarterly reports that provide insights into usage, engagement, and performance. By ensuring system integrity, coordinating content, and providing user support, the LMS Administrator will contribute directly to the growth and success of the Academy as both an internal resource and an external revenue-generating service.
Cornerstone OnDemand Administration
- Manage and maintain the Cornerstone OnDemand LMS, ensuring it remains up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with Hill Robinson’s training goals; Maintain the integrity of permission structures and confidentiality protocols; Create and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions to ensure appropriate access to learning content; Upload, organise, and update learning materials, courses, and modules; Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues, liaising with Cornerstone OnDemand support when necessary.
LMS Content Coordination
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and content creators to curate and develop engaging, relevant online training content.
- Schedule and deploy training materials and learning initiatives through the LMS.
- Coordinate communication plans to support learning rollouts.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure content accuracy, functionality, and alignment with learning objectives.
- Provide technical support to employees, managers, and external clients, ensuring prompt resolution of LMS-related issues.
- Deliver training sessions and workshops to educate users on LMS functionality.
- Act as the primary point of contact for LMS queries and communicate system updates to stakeholders.
- Onboard new clients and delegates, ensuring a seamless and professional user experience.
User Support and Training
- Provide technical support to employees, managers, and external clients, ensuring prompt resolution of LMS-related issues.
- Deliver training sessions and workshops to educate users on LMS functionality.
- Act as the primary point of contact for LMS queries and communicate system updates to stakeholders.
- Onboard new clients and delegates, ensuring a seamless and professional user experience.
Client Communication and Record Management
- Manage the Academy inbox, responding to internal and external client queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for crew and staff training activities.
- Ensure client interactions are logged and followed up appropriately to support service excellence and business development.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in administering and coordinating learning management systems, with specific expertise in Cornerstone OnDemand desirable.
- Solid understanding of e-learning principles, instructional design, and adult learning methodologies.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot LMS issues effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to manage content, schedules, user accounts, and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support and train users across the organisation and respond professionally to client queries.
