The Opportunity
/n Hill McGlynn are currently working with an established M&E contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced AC & Ventilation Project Manager to manage projects across Yeovil and the surrounding areas.
/n This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in air conditioning and ventilation, taking responsibility for projects ranging in value from approximately £200,000 to £1 million.
/n You will oversee projects from initial planning and procurement through to installation, commissioning and handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
/n
The Role
/n As AC & Ventilation Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple mechanical projects, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
/n Key responsibilities will include:
/n
/n
- Managing AC and ventilation projects ranging from £200,000 to £1 million in value.
/n
- Taking responsibility for projects from pre-start through to completion and handover.
/n
- Developing and managing project programmes.
/n
- Coordinating labour, subcontractors, suppliers and materials.
/n
- Managing the installation of air conditioning and ventilation systems.
/n
- Monitoring project progress, costs and programme performance.
/n
- Working closely with commercial teams to manage variations and project costs.
/n
- Attending client, site and progress meetings.
/n
- Managing subcontractor performance and ensuring works are delivered to specification.
/n
- Ensuring all works comply with relevant health & safety requirements.
/n
- Managing technical queries and resolving site issues.
/n
- Coordinating commissioning and project handover.
/n
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
/n
- Ensuring projects achieve the required standards of quality, safety and commercial performance.
/n

About You
/n We are looking for an experienced mechanical Project Manager with a strong understanding of air conditioning and ventilation systems.
/n
You will ideally have:
/n
/n
- Previous Project Management experience within the AC and ventilation sector.
/n
- Experience successfully managing mechanical projects of a similar size and complexity.
/n
- Strong technical understanding of air conditioning and ventilation installations.
/n
- Experience managing projects from initial planning through to commissioning and handover.
/n
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
/n
- Strong understanding of project programmes, budgets and commercial considerations.
/n
- Experience managing subcontractors, site teams and suppliers.
/n
- Good knowledge of health & safety requirements within construction and M&E environments.
/n
- Strong client-facing and communication skills.
/n
- Excellent organisation, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
/n
- Relevant mechanical, HVAC or construction qualifications would be advantageous.
/n
