The Opportunity
/n Hill McGlynn are currently working with an established construction contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Document Controller to join their team, based from their Waterloo head office.
/n This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to join a busy construction environment, supporting project, design, commercial and operational teams while taking responsibility for the accurate management and distribution of project information.

/n

Previous experience using Trimble Viewpoint is essential for this position.

/n

The Role
/n As Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining project documentation, drawings and technical information, ensuring the correct information is available to project teams throughout the construction lifecycle.

/n

Key responsibilities will include:

/n

/n
- Managing project documentation through Trimble Viewpoint.
/n
- Uploading, issuing, distributing and maintaining drawings, specifications and technical documents.
/n
- Maintaining accurate document registers and revision records.
/n
- Ensuring project teams are working from the latest approved information.
/n
- Managing incoming and outgoing project correspondence and documentation.
/n
- Distributing information to internal teams, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
/n
- Monitoring document workflows, approvals and outstanding information.
/n
- Maintaining clear and accurate document audit trails.
/n
- Supporting design and project teams with document-control requirements.
/n
- Ensuring company document-control procedures and standards are consistently followed.
/n
- Assisting with the collation of handover documentation, O&M manuals and project records.
/n
- Archiving project information accurately at the appropriate stages.
/n
- Providing general project administration and information-management support where required.
/n

/n

About You
/n We are looking for an organised, experienced and detail-focused Document Controller who can confidently manage large volumes of information within a construction environment.

/n

You will ideally have:

/n

/n
- Previous experience working as a Document Controller within construction.
/n
- Previous experience using Trimble Viewpoint - essential.
/n
- Strong experience managing construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
/n
- A good understanding of document-control processes, revisions, approvals and workflows.
/n
- Experience working with project, design and site teams.
/n
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
/n
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
/n
- Good Microsoft Office and general IT skills.
/n
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
/n
- Strong communication skills when dealing with internal and external project stakeholders.
/n
- A proactive and methodical approach to document management.
/n
