Hill McGlynn is currently working in partnership with a growing and well-regarded residential developer to recruit an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based out of their Sittingbourne office. Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the commercial management of residential construction projects
  • Supporting the procurement and buying of construction materials
  • Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Assisting with valuations, variations, and cost reporting
  • Maintaining accurate commercial records and documentation
  • Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams
  • Supporting senior commercial staff with day-to-day project duties

Requirements

  • Experience in buying/procurement of construction materials or a highly confident, proactive, and willing-to-learn attitude to take on procurement responsibilities
  • Previous experience within construction or quantity surveying
  • Residential Experience Is Advantageous But Not Essential
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Full UK Driving Licence Preferred
