Romford — £70,000 per annum + Car Allowance. Hill McGlynn Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established and reputable construction contractor based in Romford, who are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their growing team. Our client delivers a broad portfolio of works including new build projects, repairs and refurbishment, and cladding/facades schemes. Due to continued expansion and an increased project workload, they are now looking to appoint a Quality Manager to lead and maintain high standards across their construction operations.
Responsibilities
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems
- Ensuring compliance with ISO standards, specifications, and contractual requirements
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and quality reviews across live projects
- Managing snagging, defects, and quality-related issues through to resolution
- Working closely with project, site, and commercial teams to promote a strong quality culture
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on quality matters
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience within the construction industry (non-negotiable)
- Previous experience in a Quality Manager or similar quality-focused role
- Strong knowledge of new build, refurbishment, and cladding/facades projects
- Excellent understanding of construction standards, specifications, and QA/QC processes
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence site and management teams
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
