Hill McGlynn is working in partnership with a leading construction consultancy specialising in interior fit‑out and refurbishment projects, to recruit a detail‑oriented and creative CAD Technician to join their team in Maidstone. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and design‑led business that delivers high‑spec commercial interiors across a range of sectors, including retail, hospitality, workspace, and education.
The Role
As a CAD Technician, you’ll support the design and technical teams by producing accurate drawings and technical details for a variety of interior projects. You’ll be involved in space planning, construction detailing, and helping to bring creative design concepts to life with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D CAD drawings from design briefs and mark‑ups.
- Update and revise drawings to reflect design changes.
- Prepare layouts, floor plans, elevations, and technical sections.
- Assist in preparing drawings for planning and building control submissions.
- Coordinate drawings with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Support project delivery from design through to construction.
Ideal Candidate

- Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings.

- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant qualification in CAD, Construction, Architecture or Design an advantage.
