The Opportunity
Hill McGlynn is proud to be partnering with a reputable main contractor to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their team, based in Chatham. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the pre-construction phase of a wide range of high-profile projects across London and the South East. You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, contributing to tender submissions, and supporting the business in securing new work.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates from first principles
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Manage the full tender process from enquiry through to submission
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Collaborate with internal teams including design, commercial, and operations
- Attend meetings with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders as required
About You
Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry. Strong background in new build, fit out, refurbishment, and/or cut.
