Hill Mc Glynn are currently working with a successful and well-established regional main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Resident Liaison Officer to support the delivery of two projects in Brighton.
Our client delivers a diverse range of construction projects across new build, design and build, and refurbishment, with a strong reputation for quality, professionalism and customer service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Resident Liaison Officer to join an established contractor and play a key role in maintaining positive relationships between the project teams, residents, clients and wider stakeholders.
The Role
As Resident Liaison Officer, you will act as a key point of contact for residents throughout the construction process, ensuring they are kept fully informed and supported while works are taking place.
You will be responsible for managing communication across two Brighton-based projects, working closely with site and project teams to minimise disruption and ensure residents receive a consistently high level of service.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Acting as the main point of contact for residents throughout the projects.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents, clients and stakeholders.
- Keeping residents informed of upcoming works, programmes, access requirements and potential disruption.
- Providing clear and timely communication regarding project activities and progress.
- Carrying out regular resident visits and maintaining accurate records of communication.
- Responding professionally to resident enquiries, concerns and complaints.
- Working closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and the wider construction team to resolve issues.
- Managing resident expectations and ensuring concerns are escalated and addressed appropriately.
- Issuing newsletters, letters and other project communications as required.
- Supporting consultation meetings and resident engagement activities.
- Assisting with access arrangements where required. Monitoring resident feedback and ensuring relevant information is communicated to the project team.
- Ensuring all resident liaison activities are recorded and managed in accordance with company procedures.
About You
We are looking for a confident, approachable and highly organised Resident Liaison Officer with experience working within a construction or refurbishment environment.
- You Will Ideally Have
- Previous experience in a Resident Liaison, Tenant Liaison, Customer Liaison or similar role.
- Experience working within the construction, housing, refurbishment or property sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The confidence to deal with residents, clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- A professional, empathetic and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to handle sensitive situations and complaints calmly and professionally.
- Good IT and written communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable due to the nature of the role.
