The Role:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take a leading commercial role across a range of projects, ensuring cost control, contractual compliance, and commercial performance. You’ll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver high-value schemes to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full commercial management of steel frame, fit-out, and refurbishment projects
- Budget management, cost reporting, and forecasting
- Overseeing procurement and managing subcontractor packages
- Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Ensuring contractual obligations are met (JCT/NEC)
- Supporting junior commercial team members
- Working closely with Project Directors and senior management
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Tier 1 Main Contractor
- Proven track record working on steel frame construction projects
- Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage large, complex projects independently
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
