Job Description

Quantity Surveyor – Fit Out & Roofing Contractor
Location: Sevenoaks, Kent
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 + Car Allowance
Hill McGlynn Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established regional fit-out and roofing contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial and office refurbishment projects across the South East. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Sevenoaks.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join a stable and growing business that values long-term commitment and development. The role will see you involved in Cat A and Cat B fit-out schemes, as well as roofing and refurbishment projects, managing all commercial and contractual aspects from tender through to completion.
You'll also have the chance to take on estimating responsibilities, working closely with senior management to support bids and pricing for upcoming works.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects ranging in value from £10k to £3m
  • Oversee all commercial functions, including procurement, valuations, and final accounts
  • Prepare and submit accurate tenders and estimates
  • Work closely with clients, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide financial reporting and maintain cost control across all projects
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of the company

About You

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in fit-out or refurbishment projects
  • Proven experience with Cat A and Cat B office fit-outs
  • Ability to manage multiple live projects concurrently
  • Some estimating experience or a willingness to assist with tenders and pricing
  • Strong commercial awareness and a hands-on, flexible attitude
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • £50,000 – £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)
