Hill McGlynn Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established and growing residential house builder who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Kings Hill. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in residential house building to join a successful developer delivering high-quality housing developments across Kent, Sussex and Surrey.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple residential developments, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Initially, you will oversee two live developments, with one project at procurement stage and another approaching completion.

  • Managing residential developments from procurement through to final account
  • Procuring subcontractors and negotiating packages
  • Managing subcontractor payments and final accounts
  • Preparing and submitting interim valuations
  • Forecasting project costs and monitoring budgets
  • Supporting the successful commercial delivery of multiple developments simultaneously

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a residential house builder or developer:

  • Experience managing housing developments of 30+ units
  • Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish, including taking over live schemes
  • Previous experience working for both a residential developer and a main contractor
  • Experience delivering traditional housing or low-rise apartment developments (not high-rise steel frame)
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent industry experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
