Hill McGlynn Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established and growing roofing and refurbishment contractor who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Sevenoaks. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step, to join a forward-thinking business delivering roofing, fit out, refurbishment, and maintenance projects across the South East.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered profitably while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Managing multiple roofing, refurbishment, and fit out projects from tender through to final account
- Preparing cost plans, budgets, valuations, and final accounts
- Procuring subcontractors and negotiating supplier quotations
- Managing subcontractor accounts, applications, and payments
- Monitoring project costs and identifying opportunities to maximise profitability
- Preparing and submitting interim valuations and payment applications
- Pricing variations and managing change control throughout projects
- Producing cost reports and forecasting project performance
- Liaising with clients, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Supporting the successful commercial delivery of several smaller-value projects simultaneously
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within roofing, refurbishment and fit out is essential. You should have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish, be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or have significant relevant industry experience, and possess strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills. A full UK Driving Licence is also required.
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience. Car allowance included. This is a permanent role based in Sevenoaks (mainly hybrid role) with a flexible approach to working hours where required. There are genuine career progression opportunities with the chance to grow alongside the company.
