Hill McGlynn is delighted to be working with a well-established regional contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team, based out of their London Bridge office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast-paced main contractor environment and is looking to work across a diverse portfolio of nationwide projects.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple projects from inception through to final account. You will work closely with project teams to ensure costs are controlled, risks are mitigated, and value is maximised.

  • Full commercial management of projects
  • Cost planning, procurement, and subcontractor management
  • Preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Monitoring project budgets and forecasting costs
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working for a main contractor (essential)
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Experience across multiple project types
  • Cladding experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to manage workload across nationwide projects
