The Opportunity
Hill McGlynn are currently working with an established construction consultancy who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant to join their team, based from their Faversham office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Consultant looking to develop their career within a professional consultancy environment, working across a varied portfolio of construction and property projects.
The successful candidate will provide commercial and cost-management services throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with clients, contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
The business offers a 37.5-hour working week, flexible start times and hybrid working, providing flexibility alongside excellent opportunities for continued professional development.
A relevant construction or surveying degree is essential for this position.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant, you will provide cost and commercial advice across projects from initial feasibility and pre-construction through to completion and final account.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing Quantity Surveying and cost consultancy services across a range of projects.
- Preparing feasibility estimates, cost plans and project budgets.
- Providing cost advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Preparing tender documentation and managing tender processes.
- Analysing contractor submissions and preparing tender reports.
- Supporting procurement and contractor appointments.
