Qualifications

Minimum 15 years Oil/Gas/Refining/Petrochemical experience. Previous experience in a similar project (refinery) and similar role (QA Manager).

Responsibilities

• QA/QC Engineer/Manager is responsible for developing Quality Management Systems and providing technical (QA/QC) input to Contractors and suppliers. Primarily office based in London, with travel to overseas fabricators/vendors as required.
• Participates in technical compliance audits on all ongoing work to ensure compliance for Engineering Contractors and EPC contractors.
• Prepares the Project Quality Plan.
• Develops Quality Control procedures and forms in compliance with existing market standards and local regulations.
• Reviews contract documents for each package with respect to QA/QC requirements and procedures; advises the Project Manager of any deficiencies.
• Reviews QA/QC site organization and key personnel CVs as submitted by Engineering Contractors and EPC contractors; advises the Project Manager of comments.
• Reviews QA/QC procedures and document control as submitted by Engineering Contractors and EPC contractors; ensures implementation complies with contract requirements.
• Attends site activities to ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures.
• Monitors Quality Management Plan implementation through QC procedures and reports findings to the Company.
• Monitors non‑compliance issues and ensures timely mitigating actions.
• Liaises with appropriate departments on issues related to the quality of work.
• Interacts with the company’s quality assurance department.
• Maintains all contractual turnover documents and ensures they are up to date and meet requirements.
• Reports any quality issues that could impact time or cost of the project in a timely manner.
• Participates in reviewing the Close-Out Report as submitted by Contractors.
• Oil/Gas/Refining/Petrochemical experience; familiarity with Quality Management systems, quality plans, and third‑party inspection management; ideally experience with refinery equipment.
