QA/QC Engineer/Manager is someone who can develop Quality Management Systems and provide technical (QA/QC) input to Contractors and suppliers. Mainly office based in London but would be required to travel overseas to visit fabricators/vendors as required.
Key responsibilities of the QA/QC Manager are summarized below:
- Participates in technical compliance audits on all ongoing work to ensure compliance for Engineering Contractors and EPC contractors;
- Responsible for the preparation of the Project Quality Plan;
- Develop Quality Control procedures and forms in compliance with the existing market standards and local regulations;
- Reviews the contract documents for each Package in respect of QA/QC requirements and procedures and advises the Project Manager of any deficiency;
- Reviews QA/QC site organization, key personnel CVs as submitted by the Engineering Contractors and EPC contractors and advises the Project Manager of his comments;
- Review QA/QC Procedures and document control as submitted by the Engineering Contractors and EPC contractors and ensures implementation is in compliance with Contracts requirements;
- Attends activities on site and ensures their compliance with QA/QC procedures;
- Monitor Quality Management Plan implementation through Quality Control procedures and report findings to the Company;
- Monitor Non Compliance issues and safeguard the proper and on time mitigating actions for these;
- Liaise with the appropriate departments for issues interrelating with the Quality of the work;
- Interact with the Company’s quality assurance department;
- Maintain all contractual turnover documents and ensure that they are up to date and meet all requirements;
- Report any Quality issues that might have a counter effect on time or cost of the project in a timely manner;
- Participates in reviewing Close-Out Report as submitted by Contractors.
Oil/Gas/Refining/Petrochemical experience. Quality Management system, Quality plans, experience with Third-party inspection management, ideally experienced with refinery equipment.
