Responsibilities of the QA/QC Manager include developing Quality Management Systems and providing technical (QA/QC) input to Contractors and suppliers. The role is mainly office-based in London but may require travel overseas to visit fabricators/vendors as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participates in technical compliance audits on all ongoing work to ensure compliance for Engineering Contractors and EPC contractors.
- Responsible for the preparation of the Project Quality Plan.
- Develops Quality Control procedures and forms in compliance with existing market standards and local regulations.
- Reviews contract documents for each Package regarding QA/QC requirements and procedures, advising the Project Manager of any deficiencies.
- Reviews QA/QC site organisation and key personnel CVs submitted by Engineering Contractors and EPC contractors, advising the Project Manager of comments.
- Reviews QA/QC Procedures and document control submitted by Engineering Contractors and EPC contractors, ensuring implementation complies with contract requirements.
- Attends activities on site to ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures.
- Monitors Quality Management Plan implementation through Quality Control procedures and reports findings to the Company.
- Monitors Non-Compliance issues and safeguards proper and timely mitigating actions.
- Liaises with appropriate departments regarding issues interrelating with the quality of work.
- Interacts with the Company’s quality assurance department.
- Maintains all contractual turnover documents, ensuring they are up to date and meet all requirements.
- Reports any Quality issues that might adversely affect the time or cost of the project in a timely manner.
- Participates in reviewing Close-Out Reports submitted by Contractors.
Experience in Oil/Gas/Refining/Petrochemical sectors is required, along with knowledge of Quality Management systems, Quality plans, and third-party inspection management, ideally with refinery equipment.
