Overview

The Cambian Group, the UK's largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for an experienced, creative tutor to join Hill House School. We are seeking someone who has drive and vision and is passionate about the teaching profession and committed to a high quality service. Our teaching takes place in small classes with Teaching Assistant support, working as part of a committed team to cater for the diverse needs of our students.

Responsibilities

  • Follow schemes of work, create medium term plans, and develop lesson plans.
  • Deliver the curriculum to a class group and support students with ASD in learning activities and personal skills.
  • Take on a subject or curriculum area responsibility relating to the skills and experience you bring to the role.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a collaborative school approach.
  • Manage complex behaviours as required.

About the School

Hill House School is a 52 week residential special school for young people ages 11–19 with a diagnosis of autism or related difficulties. The school serves 31 students, offering a Key Stage 3/4 curriculum aligned with the National Curriculum and differentiated to meet student needs. A College for post-16 students uses the OCR Life and Living Skills Award. The school is located in the New Forest National Park area.
