We are currently representing a well-established and growing Groundworks & Civil Engineering subcontractor, specialising in reinforced concrete (RC) frame projects across London and the South East. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, our client is seeking an experienced Contract Manager / Operations Director level professional to join their senior leadership team.
This is a key strategic hire, with the successful candidate playing a pivotal role in overseeing multiple projects while helping to strengthen operational structure and delivery performance across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage multiple Groundworks and RC Frame projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Work closely with commercial and pre-construction teams to support tendering and procurement strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, clients, and stakeholders
- Drive operational efficiency, programme performance, and health & safety compliance
- Support business growth by contributing to strategic planning and process improvement
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Contract Manager or Operations Director role within a subcontractor environment
- Strong background in groundworks and RC frame construction is essential
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale projects concurrently
