Senior Estimator Drylining

The role is being offered on an entirely flexible basis you can work from home, the Colchester office, or on site as needed. Youll have the freedom to structure your week in a way that supports both your productivity and personal commitments. This isnt just a job its a strategic hire. The Managing Director is looking to build a relationship based on trust, transparency, and shared ambition. Youll be his right-hand person commercially, a Senior Estimator he can rely on to help win work, price it properly, and grow the business together. For the right Drylining Senior Estimator, this role offers long-term rewards, real influence in shaping the company, and a chance to be part of something from the ground up.
The company has been set up as a dedicated drylining and SFS division within a financially secure, asset-backed group that already designs, manufactures, and installs architectural metalwork. Although this is a start-up drylining venture, it is built on a robust foundation with systems, processes, and leadership already in place led by someone who has previously built and sold a successful drylining company.

What Youll Be Doing:
- Acting as the lead Senior Estimator for residential drylining and SFS projects
- Building rates from first principles, with a clear grasp of material and labour costs
- Taking off from drawings and preparing detailed tenders and commercial submissions
- Working closely with the Managing Director to develop winning bids and secure work
- Supporting handover to delivery teams and ensuring projects start with clarity
- Helping shape commercial systems and support future hires as the team grows
What Were Looking For:
- An experienced Senior Estimator with a solid background in drylining and SFS
- Confident working independently and collaboratively in a start-up environment
- Able to price work accurately and strategically to help win projects
- Commercially astute, trustworthy, and ready to take on greater responsibility
- Based near Colchester or able to travel when needed (remote/hybrid model offered)
