A long-established, specialist contractor with a strong reputation across the healthcare, commercial, and fit-out sectors is seeking a skilled and commercially astuteQuantity Surveyorto join their growing team.

Operating on projects ranging from £50k to £5 million, the successful Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in delivering specialist fit-out schemes including hospital refurbishments and M&E-led installations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor seeking a hands-on, varied role within a collaborative SME environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in both pre- and post-contract duties, including:

  • Preparing cost plans, BoQs, and subcontractor packages.
  • Reviewing and interpreting tender documentation for healthcare and refurbishment schemes.
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Preparing applications for payment and tracking variations.
  • Leading cost reporting, forecasting, and value engineering exercises.
  • Attending site meetings and working closely with project managers and senior leadership.
  • Maintaining strong communication with clients, supply chain, and internal teams.
  • Candidate Requirements:
    To be considered for this Quantity Surveyor role, the successful candidate will require the following:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor onfit-out, refurbishment, or healthcare projects.
  • Minimum of 23 years per role no short-term roles or frequent job changes.
  • Strong understanding of JCT contracts and standard methods of measurement.
  • Degree-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and general IT systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
