This is an ideal opportunity for someone in technical design looking to move away from technical detailing, as it will offer you the chance to come off the drawing board and move into a management focused role and take ownership of the full design function.

You will be responsible for the management of the design process with the client, providing leadership of the design team and coordination of other trades to ensure design is compliant and compatible across multiple projects.

As a technical Design Manager, you will lead the design process from concept through to delivery for complex drylining projects, acting as the key interface with the client and ensuring expectations and deadlines are met.

You will need to provide strong leadership to the internal drylining design team, driving quality, efficiency, and innovation at every stage. A critical part of the role will be coordinating with other trades such as MEP, ensuring all design elements are fully integrated, compliant, and buildable on site.

Your ability to foresee and resolve clashes and challenges early in the process will be key to successful project delivery. To succeed, you will need to bring a solid background in drylining, ceilings, and partitioning, with a deep understanding of how drywall packages are delivered on large-scale projects (£5M+).

A strong grasp of buildability, combined with up-to-date knowledge of fire safety regulations for drylining and ceilings, is essential. This is an opportunity to move away from drawing and take a strategic, leadership-driven role where your expertise will directly shape projects and drive best-in-class design outcomes.

You will need to have a robust personality, with an ability to delegate work to the design team, ensuring that technical design is accurate. Ideally, you will be able to use both CAD and Revit.

You will be given autonomy in your role, including flexibility to work from home. This role will require a site presence.
