They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their London team and lead the estimating function for their prestigious developments.
Role Overview
The Senior Estimator will play a key role in the preconstruction process, producing accurate, competitive, and commercially viable cost estimates for high-value projects. This includes managing tender submissions, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors, and providing insight to support strategic decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, senior professional to influence project outcomes and contribute to the growth of a premium London division.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimating & Tender Management
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for high-value residential projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather pricing information.
- Prepare, submit, and present tender proposals in line with company standards and deadlines.
- Analyse project costs, risks, and profitability, providing recommendations to senior management.
- Maintain and enhance estimating systems, templates, and processes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimating staff where required.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure estimates reflect project objectives.
- Contribute to value engineering and cost control initiatives.
- Support commercial decision-making during preconstruction.
- Implement best practices within the estimating function.
- Produce reports and insights to support pipeline planning and strategic growth.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience as a Senior Estimator within high-end residential or super-prime construction projects.
- Proven ability to deliver accurate, competitive estimates and manage tender submissions.
- Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
