Following the award of a flagship £15m drylining design and build package on the Cardiff Arena new build, our client is seeking a Project Manager to take ownership of this landmark scheme. Accommodation and travel are fully covered, with a working pattern of four days on site and one day from home. Our client is a specialist drylining contractor delivering complex design and build packages on major projects. The business is led by a Managing Director who trusts experienced professionals to take ownership, make decisions and drive projects forward, offering genuine autonomy without micromanagement. This role requires a strong site presence due to the scale and complexity of the project, balanced with flexibility and support from senior leadership. You will lead the day-to-day delivery of the project, managing programme, coordination and site operations, while working closely with the client and senior team to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day delivery of the £15m drylining package
  • Oversee programme, site operations and subcontractor coordination
  • Work with the design team to ensure smooth BIM-led delivery
  • Maintain quality, health and safety, and project standards
  • Support commercial performance, including cost control and reporting

About You

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within drylining or a similar subcontracting environment
  • Strong technical understanding of drylining systems and buildability
  • Experience working on design and build projects
  • Organised, commercially aware and confident managing site delivery
  • Strong communicator with a hands-on, proactive approach
  • Comfortable being site-based
