Our client is a highly regarded main contractor specialising in the delivery of exceptional luxury homes, prestigious refurbishments and bespoke new-build residences across London and the Home Counties.
Renowned for craftsmanship, quality and attention to detail, they work with private clients, leading architects and interior designers to deliver some of the country's most exclusive residential projects.
As their project portfolio continues to grow, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the finest residential developments in the UK, with the flexibility to be based from either their West London office or Surrey headquarters.
The Role
Reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial management of super prime residential projects from pre-construction through to final account.
This role offers excellent exposure to high-value, technically challenging projects and provides genuine opportunities for career progression within an established and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the commercial management of super prime residential projects.
- Prepare and manage subcontract procurement packages.
- Measure works and prepare valuations.
- Monitor project costs, budgets and forecasts.
- Assess subcontractor applications and prepare payments.
- Manage variations and change control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the preparation of monthly cost reports and commercial reporting.
- Assist with final accounts and project close-out.
- Build strong working relationships with project teams, consultants and subcontractors.
About You
- Previous experience as an Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Experience delivering high-end residential, prime residential or super prime projects is highly desirable.
- Main contractor experience preferred.
- Good understanding of JCT forms of contract.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach with the ambition to progress your career.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline, or working towards professional accreditation.
