Our client is a specialist subcontractor operating across the commercial and residential fit-out sectors. They have secured a £10M design and build metal ceiling project in Oxford for a recognised Tier One main contractor and are looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Site Manager to help deliver the scheme.
The £10M project is split across two buildings, each valued at approximately £5M, and includes:
- Kvadrat ceilings
- Specialist metal ceilings
- GRG bulkheads
- Complex specialist ceiling installations
You will be site based, working alongside another Site Manager and reporting directly into a Senior Project Manager who is also based on site. You must have previous experience managing metal ceiling installations on commercial fit-out projects and be confident managing specialist subcontractor works on a complex project.
The following qualifications are required as a minimum:
- NVQ Level 6 / Black Managers CSCS Card
- SMSTS
- First Aid
You will also need to have a strong technical understanding of how specialist ceilings are constructed and installed, together with excellent IT skills. You should be comfortable working with both a laptop and tablet as part of your day-to-day site responsibilities, with previous experience using systems such as procure, snagR, viewpoint and Dalux.
