Job Description
Are you a Drylining Estimator looking for flexibility and career growth? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established drylining subcontractor offering a hybrid working model, allowing you to split your time between home and the Leicester office. Youll play a key role in a work winning team, working on diverse drylining projects across the UK.
This business has a strong track record of genuine career progression. The current Managing Estimator started with the company as a Trainee just nine years ago and now leads the department. Professional development isnt just a promise; its embedded in the culture. For the right Drylining Estimator, this role offers a clear pathway to advance your career, gain responsibility, and move into senior leadership over time. With multiple businesses within the wider group, internal mobility and long-term stability are real and proven.
As a Drylining Estimator, youll be handling projects that range from smaller special works (£50K£500K) to large-scale schemes valued between £2M and £10M. The estimating team currently includes a Managing Estimator, a Senior Estimator, and two Trainees. An additional team member is relocating overseas in October, which is testament to their high retention rate of employees.
This stand-alone Drylining Estimator role involves first-principles estimating, building rates from scratch, and working with both Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors in sectors such as education and public works, covering drylining projects on a design and build basis. The business uses On Centre for take-offs alongside its own bespoke internal pricing system, with templates and historic data available to support you.
What Were Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Drylining Estimator, ideally within subcontracting or specialist interiors
- First-principles estimating expertise with confidence to build rates from scratch
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive, detail-driven, and problem-solving mindset
- Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
This role supports a healthy work-life balance with a hybrid structure, typically 23 days per week remote, depending on meetings and project needs. While youll be part of a close-knit team in Leicester, we understand the importance of flexibility in todays working world.
This isnt just another job, its a real opportunity to build a long-term career. If youre an ambitious Drylining Estimator who wants to progress, develop, and grow within a successful and supportive company, this is your chance, call today to discuss.
