We are working with a well-established specialist contractor with over 30 years’ experience delivering complex groundworks, civil engineering, reinforced concrete and substructure projects across London and the UK.

They are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join their team and take responsibility for the successful planning, development and delivery of projects from preconstruction stage through to handover.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong construction professional with a background in groundworks, RC frame, reinforced concrete or civil engineering who wants to play a key role within a growing specialist contractor.

The Preconstruction Manager will be responsible for

  • Leading the preconstruction process across a number of groundworks and civil engineering projects.
  • Working closely with commercial, design and operational teams to develop project strategies.
  • Reviewing construction methodologies, buildability, programmes and project risks.
  • Supporting tender submissions, value engineering and technical solutions.
  • Ensuring a smooth transition from preconstruction into project delivery.

The successful Preconstruction Manager will ideally have

  • A strong background within a specialist contractor environment.
  • Previous experience delivering groundworks, RC frame, reinforced concrete or substructure projects.
  • A technical understanding gained from a site, project management or contracts management background.
  • Experience managing projects through preconstruction and into delivery.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with clients, consultants and internal teams.
