We don’t just manage sites—we lead them with purpose. As a Site Manager at Hill, you’ll be responsible for the day-to‑day management of residential construction projects—typically valued at £10m+—ensuring they’re delivered safely, on time, on budget and to the highest standards. Whether leading a standalone site or part of a wider phased development, you’ll be the driving force behind quality, safety and operational success. You’ll coordinate site teams, subcontractors and external partners, working closely with Commercial, Technical and Sales teams to keep progress clear, collaborative and aligned.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead safe delivery on site and promote Hill’s ‘Don’t Walk By’ safety-first culture
  • Manage Design Reviews
  • Setting up the site order Engagement
  • Manage short-term programming and sequencing to meet long-term programme goals
  • Monitor build quality using SnagR and ISO systems, ensuring compliance with statutory, warranty and technical standards
  • Chair subcontractor meetings, ensuring clear actions, accountability and progress
  • Manage and mentor Assistant Site Managers and Trainees, setting clear expectations and reviewing performance
  • Track labour, materials, plant and progress with accurate records and reporting
  • Maintain excellent site presentation, cleanliness and boundary control
  • Coordinate closely with the Commercial team to support cost control and reporting
  • Support technical problem-solving and liaise with consultants, suppliers and authorities
  • Attend internal project reviews and client meetings as a trusted representative of Hill
  • Ensure compliance with H&S, CDM, scaffold and temporary works procedures

What we’re looking for:

  • HND/Degree in Construction (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in site management, ideally on residential or mixed‑use projects
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and RAMS
  • Confident in short‑and long‑term programme management
  • Skilled in subcontractor management, coordination and performance reviews
  • Excellent leadership, organisation and team development capabilities
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable working in a high-performance, fast‑paced environment
  • Fully certified: CSCS, SMSTS, Scaffold Inspection, and TWC
