You’ll provide mechanical and electrical expertise from the early stages of a project, helping us develop compliant, commercially robust and well-coordinated M&E solutions before schemes move into delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing M&E input into bids, tenders and pre-construction activities
- Reviewing Employer’s Requirements, specifications, drawings and tender information
- Supporting the Commercial team with M&E cost assessments and subcontractor tender reviews
- Identifying value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance
- Coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and internal Technical, Commercial, Bid and regional teams
- Reviewing plantrooms, risers, service voids and statutory service requirements
- Reviewing technical information including Energy, Air Quality and Acoustic Reports
- Ensuring M&E proposals comply with Hill standards, Employer’s Requirements and statutory regulations
- Supporting the transition from tender settlement through to subcontractor appointment
About you:
You’ll have strong experience in M&E/building services design coordination, ideally within residential construction, contracting or a similar environment. You’ll have a good understanding of CDM 2015, building services compliance, value engineering and quality assurance, alongside experience reviewing technical and tender documentation. You’ll be an effective communicator who can work confidently across multiple teams and projects, with the ability to challenge, problem-solve and provide practical technical guidance. A relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent is preferred, with chartered status or progress towards a relevant professional qualification advantageous.
Why Hill?
At Hill, our people are ambitious about what they build and the impact they leave behind. You’ll join a collaborative business where you’ll have the opportunity to work on high-quality, complex projects and play an important role in shaping them from the earliest stages.
