At Hill Group we are looking for a Learning & Development specialist who will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality learning solutions that support business performance and colleague development across the organisation.
Working closely with managers and key stakeholders, the role will identify learning needs, design effective learning interventions, and deliver engaging programmes across a range of topics. The post holder will combine strong facilitation skills with instructional design expertise to create impactful learning experiences that drive capability, performance, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning solutions across classroom, virtual, and blended learning environments.
- Partner with managers and stakeholders to identify learning needs, understand performance gaps, and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
- Conduct learning needs analysis to ensure training interventions align with business objectives and operational requirements.
- Create and maintain high-quality learning materials, facilitator guides, learner resources, digital content, and supporting documentation.
- Facilitate onboarding, compliance, systems, behavioural, and leadership development programmes.
- Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to translate technical or operational knowledge into effective learning experiences.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness through feedback, assessment results, behavioural change, and business impact measures.
- Use learning data and insight to continuously improve programmes and learner outcomes.
- Support organisational change initiatives by designing and delivering learning interventions that enable successful adoption.
- Build positive working relationships with managers and operational stakeholders across the business.
- Support regional learning activities, workshops, and drop-in sessions where required.
- Maintain accurate learning records and contribute to L&D reporting and KPI tracking.
- Stay up to date with learning and development best practice, tools, and methodologies.
- Proven experience in a learning and development, training, or people development role.
- Demonstrable experience designing and delivering learning programmes across multiple delivery methods, including face-to-face, virtual, and blended learning.
- Strong instructional design skills with experience developing engaging, practical, and learner-focused content.
- Experience working with managers and mid-level stakeholders to identify needs, shape solutions, and influence learning outcomes.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience conducting learning needs analysis and translating business requirements into effective learning interventions.
- Ability to build credible relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders across different functions and regions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience evaluating learning effectiveness and using data and feedback to improve programme performance.
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
