As a quality systems manager, you'll coordinate the activities required to meet the quality standards set for Hill Group activities. You'll ensure that this quality is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. Your role is concerned with monitoring and advising on the performance of the HSEQ management systems, producing data, and reporting on performance, measuring against set standards. Working closely with all departments and teams to ensure compliance and the compilation of records to demonstrate conformity to our processes. Work closely with the Group Head of HSE to ensure ISO:9001, 14001, 45001 & 50001 processes and documentation are monitored and measured with respect to safety matters, in particular on our sites; ensuring the processes are aligned so the whole quality process is streamlined and consistent.
Job Responsibilities
- Own, grow, manage, maintain, and develop the HSEQ Management System (HSE&Q MS), reporting at senior level on the performance of the system and any need for improvement.
- Liaise with the external assessment body (Lloyds Register) on all matters relating to the external accreditation process and ensure accreditation status is always maintained.
- Support process owners to ensure all process manuals are up to date, best in class, and reflect Hill Group standards.
- Have detailed working knowledge of ISO Standards 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001.
- Have awareness of Environmental and Health and Safety procedures to allow integration within the Management System, working closely with the Group HSE team.
- Maintain formal ISO accreditation standards, organising and running external audits.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of the QMS at planned intervals (Management Reviews) to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness, along with monthly internal audits.
- Ensure the document control procedure is carried out to approve, review and update all changes to critical documents within the scope of the QMS, liaising regularly with process owners.
- Publish quarterly report for review at Holdings Board meetings.
- Establish, implement and maintain business-relevant quality management processes.
- Set quality objectives (KPIs) by top management for measuring the performance of the QMS, and ensure these are regularly reviewed and displayed on the Group Intranet.
- Coordinate the timely collation of KPIs from top management on a quarterly basis and submit them for Board meetings.
- Analyse and determine the principal causes of quality loss and non-conformance.
- Monitor any remedial action resulting from non-conformance.
- Review quality systems of identified Supply Chain partners.
- Ensure processes are consistent with the Company Scheme of Delegation and are worked towards delegated responsibilities.
- Arrange logistics, people and evidence for external (Lloyds Register) audits.
- Attend and participate in regional management meetings as required.
- Coordinate the timely collation of Risk Data on a quarterly basis and submit for the Risk Committee.
