Role overview
The Channel Marketing Manager will lead the development of the firm's key marketing and comms channels, ensuring they work together to deliver a consistent experience for internal and external audiences. The role will have responsibility for overseeing the website, intranet, and social media channels with three direct reports. The successful candidate will bring leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills, using data, insight, and best practice to optimise channel performance, enhance the firm's digital presence, and support wider marketing, communications, and business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the firm's website, intranet, and social media channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage and support channel specialists, fostering collaboration and a joined-up approach to channel delivery.
- Develop and implement channel strategies to drive engagement, visibility, and user experience.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to identify and deliver channel improvements and prioritise workstreams.
- Monitor and report on channel performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support firm-wide campaigns, initiatives, and business development activity.
- Ensure all channel activity complies with brand, accessibility, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and platform providers where required.
- Identify opportunities to improve channel effectiveness, adopting best practice and emerging trends.
What are we looking for:
Important criteria:
- Proven experience managing and developing digital channels within a professional services environment, preferably a law firm.
- Demonstrable passion for improving channel performance, identifying opportunities, and driving innovation through new ideas and approaches.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, with excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Previous line management experience.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working effectively across a range of business functions and seniority levels.
- Experience developing and delivering social media strategies that drive engagement.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
It would be beneficial for you to have some of the following:
- Experience working with Umbraco CMS.
- Experience managing or supporting a SharePoint-based intranet environment.
- Experience overseeing website content, governance, and user experience improvements.
Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience in a marketing campaigns role within a law firm is essential. A professional marketing qualification (CIM or equivalent) is desirable.
