Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (35 hours per week). Happy to talk flexible working.
Location: Flexible, but regular attendance at Liverpool office is required.

Role Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mid-senior individual to lead our legal technology, innovation, and transformation initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Legal Technology and Innovation, the Legal Innovation and Transformation Manager will drive the development and delivery of forward-thinking legal solutions that enhance service delivery for lawyers and clients alike.
The role involves collaboration with legal teams, the internal IT function, and external legal tech vendors, as well as line management of a growing team of Legal Automation Engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted innovation partner to legal practice groups, promote legal technology adoption, legal process transformation, knowledge management and data governance.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (including lawyers, IT, PMO and Risk and Compliance), as well as external vendors, to scope and deliver impactful, value-driven initiatives.
- Support the design and management of a legal innovation roadmap aligned with business and client strategy.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and experimentation within legal service delivery.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement innovative legal technology solutions in response to firm and client needs.
- Implement and facilitate transformation and change management best practice across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies, legal trends, and best practices in legal operations and innovation.
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of Legal Automation Engineers, ensuring effective project delivery and professional development.

- Practical understanding of legal processes, legal service delivery, and client engagement within a law firm context.
