The firm offers advice and strategic guidance across the legal spectrum, from advisory to litigation. The Health & Public Law team works on NHS and social care matters, including inquests, mental health law and Court of Protection work.
Role Overview
The Health & Public Law team is looking for a Personal Assistant to provide flexible, high‑level support. The successful candidate will become familiar with the team’s client matters and provide administration, file management, billing and compliance assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative support to Partners and Legal Directors
- Diary management, meeting and travel arrangements
- Open and archive client files, maintain filing systems
- Copy and distribute documents, arrange couriers and deliveries
- Manage invoicing and billing processes, including direct client contact
- Maintain databases and provide key performance data to clients
- Prepare monthly client billing, expense claims and general finance tasks
- Create PowerPoint presentations as required
- Develop relationships with internal colleagues and external clients
- Support business development efforts across the firm
- Attend training to enhance healthcare industry knowledge
What We’re Looking For
- Proficient diary management and strong telephone, email and document communication skills
- Able to produce accurate, well‑presented work, including track‑change, auto‑numbering and PDF bundles for court
- Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, digital dictation and in‑house systems
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills under pressure
- Adaptable, independent and a team player with initiative
Additional Beneficial Experience
- Healthcare or legal sector experience
- PA or related qualification
- Experience with case management systems and document management systems
