Role overview
Introduction to the role: Our dedicated Costs department is recruiting a Paralegal to join the rapidly growing team. The Costs Team includes experienced costs litigation professionals based in Liverpool, Manchester and London, with extensive experience in high-value costs litigation, costs budgeting, appeals, group litigation and technical challenges. Our advocates regularly attend national court hearings. The costs team is part of the Health Business Group and is undergoing rapid expansion, providing opportunities for personal development.
Key responsibilities
- Provide support to the Head of the Team with the co-ordination of data information for clients
- File management β creating and archiving files and ensuring compliance procedures are adhered to
- Reviewing files and documenting against agreed protocols
- Administrative duties
- Support and advice to all users of the service
- Telephone negotiations
- Fee-earning work on files with a view to developing own caseload
- Assisting the team with costs matters
- Client-orientated tasks that will be chargeable and will carry a billable hours target
