Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 18:00 (35 hours per week). Happy to talk flexible working. Flexibility in working hours is a requirement and you can expect that additional hours, evening and possibly weekend work may be required to meet deadlines and fulfil all the obligations of the role to the required level. Participation in a shift rotation / out of hours service is a requirement for this role. Travel to all offices and some client sites will be required from time to time.

Role Overview: Hill Dickinson have embarked on an ambitious consolidation and upgrade roadmap, that will see most services aligned with the IT and Business Strategy. As a result, you will be working with some of the latest technologies on the market and given the opportunity to manage and own the technical delivery of our projects. Where possible, training will also be provided on new and emerging technologies to allow you to support them in full. The successful candidate will report to the Service Delivery Manager – Infrastructure and form part of our technical infrastructure team, who pride themselves in the successful delivery of infrastructure and application-based projects.
Introduction to the team: The Infrastructure Team are a dynamic team of IT professionals based across Liverpool and Manchester and Singapore. The team are responsible for the delivery of technical projects, management and BAU upkeep of the firm’s infrastructure, applications, and SQL (Managed by a dedicated SQL function). We are currently working with some of the latest technologies in the market, including Software Defined WAN, Software Defined Datacentre, and migration of core applications to SAAS and IAAS platforms where suitable. You can guarantee no two days will be the same and the workload is varied.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Service Delivery Manager – Infrastructure to develop and maintain the operational infrastructure / IT systems that Hill Dickinson offers across their UK and International Offices.
- Support and contribute to the organisation’s corporate goals and business objectives.
- Support Project Managers giving technical guidance to enable the smooth implementation of services and products into the Hill Dickinson architecture through the project lifecycle RFP through to BAU support.
- Act as a point of escalation to Infrastructure Analysts and support them in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues.
- Embrace change defined by the Hill Dickinson IT project roadmap.
- Support the IT departmental policies for the organisation, which includes all service delivery matters, technological matters, hardware, and software procurement.
