Job Description
Location: Aaron Grange Care Home, Blacklow Brow
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Carer with experience in end-of-life care to join our committed team. This is a rewarding role where you’ll support residents with life-limiting conditions, ensuring they receive comfort, dignity, and quality care in their final days.
Your Role Will Include
- Providing high-quality, person-centred palliative and end-of-life care
- Supporting residents with personal care and emotional reassurance
- Supervising and mentoring care staff to maintain best practice
- Liaising with families, GPs, nurses, and palliative care professionals
- Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and promptly responding to changes
- Upholding dignity, respect, and sensitivity at all times
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Prior experience in a senior carer or end-of-life/palliative care role
- Compassionate, calm, and emotionally resilient nature
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A genuine commitment to person-centred care
Desirable (but Not Essential)
- End-of-life care training (e.g., Gold Standards Framework, Six Steps)
- Experience supporting families through bereavement
- Knowledge of Advance Care Planning and DNACPR processes
