Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to implement care plans effectively. This role involves supervising junior staff and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and team members.

Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care.
- Supervise and support junior staff, providing guidance and leadership to enhance team performance.
- Maintain accurate records of residents\’ progress and any changes in their condition.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in Residential and Nursing care.
- Administration of medication to residents.
Experience
- Previous experience in a senior care role is essential, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
- Familiarity with IT systems used for record keeping and communication within the care home setting is advantageous.
- A genuine passion for working with Residents and enhancing their quality of life through compassionate care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for this role.
